The House of Prayer

"Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed."

(Mark 1:35)

For quite some time, there was no solitary place for one to go to pray and seek God (at least not where one would be protected from sun, rain or wind). From October, 2000 to July, 2001 the House of Prayer was constructed to meet this need as a part of "Chacra de Dios".

Located a few kilometers distant from the Training Center up on hill, it was quite a challange to build the House of Prayer.

The workers not only had to transport 20 tons of adobe brick, but also everything else, including water, needed for the construction - and that up a primative dirt road.

< The Foundation is laid.

The house is located about 4,100 m high on a ridge, about 40 minute walk from the Center. It is isolated and quiet, well situated for times alone with God.

The house is 2 storied, but without water or electricity, and very sparsely furnished. There is a fireplace to keep warm by (but you have to bring your own wood) and a pin board and prayer log for prayer requests.

Various churches came to the dedication in July, 2001.
