"Chacra de Dios" (translation: God's Acre) is a Peruvian evangelical association, ministering interdenominationally. The association was founded in 2001 by German missionaries and Peruvian co-workers. It is located in the city of Juliaca, 3824 meters (13,000 ft) above sea-level, and is nearby Lake Titicaca in the highlands of Peru.

 

 Goals:

The primary goal of Chacra de Dios is to teach, equip and encourage Peruvian Christians and church leaders for the ministry. We are involved in church planting, promoting unity among the churches here and in spreading the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Situation:

Chacra de Dios ministers in an unreached area of Peru, that is, an area where there are few churches, few people who have heard the gospel. The people are for the most part poor farmers with little education. In the city Julica itself, which has a population of about 250,000, there is a high rate of unemployment, bringing a multitude of problems to the area.

The Christian Training Center:

The Training Center, Chacra de Dios, is located on a high, broad plateau, 12 kilometers from the city of Juliaca. Since it began in 1998, we have been able to construct houses for missionaries and Peruvian co-workers, as well as the necessary organisation and facilities to accommodate 61 participants. The parcel of land, 70 hectares, is big enough for the future construction and expansion.

The Church "Casa de Dios"

The Association "Chacra de Dios" founded a church in April, 2005, with the name "Casa de Dios" (= "House of God"). The church is presently directed by Javier Vargas Apaza, who, at the same time, is the director of our association.

Finances:
